Play with WASD + Mouse, best on desktop.
Click with your mouse towards the item to grab them and add the item to your inventory.
You cannot pick items if your inventory is full.
You need to upgrade your inventory, and to get to the deeper levels. You can also upgrade your fuel & hull.
